About Convene

A live meetings industry market place for the countries of the Baltic Sea region.

CONVENE is an annual business to business two day event for the meetings industry for the countries of the Baltic. It is an international show case for the regional meetings industry which accelerates the interest in, and demand for, holding meetings, incentives and conferences in the region.

Launched by Vilnius Convention Bureau the event every year offers a fully hosted buyer programme which accommodates 160+ qualified buyers from whole Europe. Up to 100 exhibitors including convention bureaux, hotels, conference centres, special venues, DMCs, PCOs, specialist suppliers from Lithuania and seven other countries of the region (Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Russia Finland, Sweden, Denmark) is showcasing their meeting products and services. There are also guest country exhibitors from Ukraine and Belarus. The event is supported by a major professional education programme and a series of high quality business networking events. CONVENE as well offer a number of fam tours to Lithuania and neighbouring destinations that wish to host the international buyers attending the event.

With a strong focus on education and knowledge, CONVENE aims to equip the buyer and supplier communities with the tools to create more effective meetings and events.

Every year CONVENE offers a selection of familiarisation tours after the event to some Lithuania's cities and other cities of the Baltic Sea Region which in the past have included Finland, Latvia, and Estonia.
Next year 13-15 March Vilnius will become the focus for air service development in Europe, hosting the 13th CONNECT event.
July 2015 the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress centre LITEXPO has joined ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association).
The Holiday Inn Vilnius hotel has just gone through a complete renovation of all 134 guest rooms.
For a few years, the Lithuanian Basketball Federation (LBF) has been considering the idea of a House of Basketball that is now becoming a reality.
Dividing the Baltic Sea from the Curonian Lagoon that stretches from Lithuania into Russia, this sliver of land is one endless expanse of beach.
The 2014 International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) rankings have been released, and Tallinn is among the biggest climbers moving from 90th place in 2013 to 46th in the worldwide rankings, leaving behind big cities like New York, Oslo, Washington, Glasgow and Moscow.
