Getting to the centre of the city:
The most convenient and fastest way to reach hotels from Vilnius International Airport is to use a taxi or book a private transfer in advance through the hotel. Please contact the staff of Vilnius Tourist Information Centre (Arrival Hall A) to book your taxi.
The taxis that are already at the airport are known to be 3-4 times more expensive than the ordinary ones. For your convenience, we recommend “Smart Taxi” by short number 1820 (when using Lithuanian mobile service provider) or +370 5 200 0820. Other taxi numbers can be found here.

Runs every 40-50 minutes. First bus leaves from the airport at 05:49 AM, the last one at 22:23 PM;
- No. 3G AIRPORT-CENTER-FABIJONIŠKĖS
Runs every 8-10 minutes. First bus leaves from the airport a 05:22 AM, the last one leaves at 23:11 PM;

Runs every16-17 minutes. First bus leaves from the airport a 05:16 AM, the last one leaves at 01:39 PM.
Once you have boarded public transportation, you can purchase a one-way ticket from the driver that costs € 1. Bus times are available at bus stops or on the website www.stops.lt
Tickets for trolleybuses and buses can be bought at any newspaper kiosk*:
Ticket price for 30 min journey – € 0.73
Ticket price for 60 min journey – € 0.87
* When buying the ticket at the kiosk, an electronic card is needed. It costs ~ € 1.20. Only then, you can top it up with selected public transport tickets.
You can also use a Mobile App to purchase the tickets. The App is available here:
Distance from the airport to Vilnius Railway station is about 5 km, the journey takes up to 8 minutes. Trains run approximately every 60 minutes. The schedule can be found at www.litrail.lt. Tickets can be purchased on the train or at Vilnius Railway Station. Ticket price € 0.72.
Passport and Visas
All foreign visitors entering Lithuania must have a valid passport. For some countries, a visa is necessary. Please find the List of Countries, whose citizens do not require visas to enter the Republic of Lithuania. Please press here for more information about visas.

If required the organizer will send you a letter of invitation. It should be understood that this letter is only to help participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa, and is not a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide financial support. Due to the fact that consulates and embassies need a lot of time to process a visa request we advise you to ask for a letter of invitation at your earliest convenience.
