This 16-17 May, Vilnius Tech Park will become home to an international marketplace for innovation and bright ideas thanks to Startup Fair 2018. The event, which aims to be the biggest and most important of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe, will gather investors, startups and speakers for two days of learning, B2B networking and an exciting pitch battle.
Startup Fair is very much a reflection of the current startup environment being developed in Vilnius. The regulations governing the startup sector and the support available, most notably to FinTech startups, are making the city an attractive hub for international companies and investors alike. Vilnius has indeed asserted its ambition to become a FinTech and startup hub, and Startup Fair 2018 is yet another concrete example of the steps being taken to turn this ambition into a reality.
The event will feature a number of keynote speakers from around the world giving presentations and leading discussions focused on the trendiest contemporary startup topics and challenges. Vilnius’ role as a European FinTech centre and the city’s rapidly developing ICO scene will also feature among the panel discussions and keynote speeches.
Startup Fair 2018 is also an important hands-on networking platform, with over 30 international investors eager to meet representatives from 50+ Lithuanian and Baltic Region startups to identify and discuss investment opportunities and business scaling.
Finally, a group of hand-picked startups will take part in a pitch battle in front of a jury, investors and the public. Winners will be offered mentorship, a share of a EUR 100,000 investment fund from LitBAN, and legal services from Triniti.
Startup Fair 2018 is open to the public and free of charge, so anyone interested in the startup and FinTech sectors is encouraged to make their way to Vilnius Tech Park for this exciting annual international event. New insights into the sector, a ton of bright ideas, and a glimpse into how Vilnius is making a name for itself as a European hub are all guaranteed.
